My Framework

The Aim Up Method

The name Aim Up came to me in a flash, during one of the most transformative periods of my own life. Shortly afterwards, I realised the initials — Au — are the chemical symbol for gold: a quiet alignment between inner and outer that felt unmistakably right.

The symbol of gold stayed with me because it reflects something I see repeatedly in this work: beneath the noise, self-doubt, old stories and expectations, there is usually something valuable that has never been lost — only overlooked. This work is not about changing who you are. It is about uncovering what is already there, and strengthening it.

A Different Way of Working A Different Way of Working

Many people come to this work having already tried very hard to understand themselves — or very hard to move forward. Often the difficulty is not a lack of effort, but that insight and action have become disconnected from one another.

The Aim Up Method works differently. It moves between depth and direction, insight and action — working not only with what you are thinking consciously, but with the patterns running quietly beneath. So you come to understand not just what you keep doing, but why. It is neither generic coaching nor standard counselling — it brings the depth of one and the forward movement of the other.

Rather than a fixed process, it moves between three movements — Untangle, Realign, and Elevate. These are not rigid phases but interconnected aspects of the work. Rather than trying to cover everything at once, we stay close to what feels most important and most alive. Conversations often reach meaningful places more naturally than people expect.

01

Untangle

We begin by making sense of what has been shaping you, your history, patterns, responses, and internal narratives.

This is not about dwelling on the past, but about understanding, acknowledging, and honouring it — so that it no longer shapes you unconsciously.

What many people notice is a growing sense of clarity. Things that once felt tangled begin to make more sense. As understanding deepens, there is often a feeling of relief, perspective, and greater space to think clearly.

02

Realign

With greater clarity, we begin to bring your thinking, decisions, and direction back into line with who you actually are — rather than with habit, obligation, or expectations you never quite chose.

Sometimes that means creating structure where it is needed — in your environment, your habits, or the way you approach your work. More often it means noticing where you have been living by an old script, and quietly setting it down.

The focus is less on goals for their own sake than on what genuinely matters to you — and moving towards it with a steadier, clearer sense of direction.

03

Elevate

From this foundation, we focus on forward movement — building confidence, strengthening self-trust, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Rather than quick fixes, the emphasis is on steady, sustainable progress — allowing small, consistent shifts to build momentum over time. This is where clarity begins to turn into momentum, and life starts to feel more like your own again.

The Aim Up Method is not a set of steps to follow, but a fluid way of working that adapts to you in each session — combining depth, clarity, and forward movement in a way that feels supportive, grounded, and effective.

What to Expect in Your First Session

Your first session is designed to feel calm, unhurried, and entirely focused on you.

We begin with a few quiet minutes — a chance to arrive, settle, and breathe. Many people come to their first session carrying a lot. There is no rush to begin; the space itself is part of the work.

From there, we talk. I will ask what brings you here — not in a clinical or formulaic way, but with genuine curiosity about your experience, your hopes, and what you are finding difficult. There are no right or wrong answers, and nothing you share will surprise or unsettle me.

Many people find themselves talking about things that matter more deeply than they expected.

As the session unfolds, we explore your situation more fully — what is happening now, what may have shaped it, and where you would like things to be different. I listen closely, and read carefully beneath what is said. Where I notice something worth exploring, I bring it gently to your attention.

By the end of your first session, you will leave with something tangible: a small, practical focus for the coming week — something meaningful but achievable — and a clearer sense of what a first step forward might feel like for you.

Many people leave their first session feeling lighter than they expected.

A More Considered Approach

This work is guided by a few principles that help it remain thoughtful, practical, and genuinely tailored to the person sitting in front of me.

I work with a limited number of clients, leaving space between sessions to reflect and return to the work with care and depth.

Where helpful, brief contact between sessions is available — continuity and support, without dependency.

Clarity, Not More Noise

Most people already have more advice than they know what to do with. The work is rarely about adding more. It is about helping you hear yourself more clearly.

Understanding the Past Without Living in It

Understanding the past matters only insofar as it helps you move forward — not to stay in analysis, but to reach a point where things feel lighter and no longer hold the same weight.

Shaped Around You, Not a Formula

No two people think the same way — so this work responds to you: your patterns, your way of processing, your pace, rather than a fixed set of steps.

Change That Actually Lasts

Lasting change rarely comes from dramatic reinventions. More often it grows from small shifts made with clarity, consistency, and self-trust.

Emily understands high-functioning people — the gap between how things look from the outside and how they actually feel inside. I came away with clarity I hadn't expected and a much calmer relationship with myself. Exceptional work.

There is no perfect moment to begin. A first session is often the simplest place to start — a single conversation, with no pressure to continue.

When you're ready, we can begin.

A calm, confidential space to think clearly and move forward.
